  This is the second time we've been here and they can't get it right. My chicken marsala was raw tonight. And the sauce was not a marsala sauce- it was the same as the dark brown gravy served with the steak. Manager offered to buy us a dessert since my chicken was raw- and then after we ordered dessert- he brought us a separate dessert (sonwe ended up paying for raw chicken and dessert). Service was very slow. Last time, got sauerbraten and sauce was terribly vinegar-y and spaetzel was burnt. Great menu and atmosphere but they can't get it right.

  We ate there today, 9/6. The restaurant renovations were stunning, exposing the stone walls and giant fireplace in the new Bar area.
  
  There were many patrons arriving after 6:30. On a Tuesday.
  
  The menu is different from the old Glen Gardner Inn although they continued some of the favorites. My wife had the Sauerbraten, and I had chicken Marsala. We shared a salad. And a desert. Other food I saw, the hamburgers and sandwiches looked terrific. and our salad was very tasty and also fresh.
  
  With a few drinks, the bill was less than 100 bucks for both of us and the food was fabulous.
  
  I read other reviews, and I can't imagine how those people had such a bad experience. Maybe a bad night, perhaps ulterior motives. All I can say for sure is that I am glad we ignored these reviews and tried the place. We are Lebanon township residents, and will be back again. Welcome to the neighborhood, Humphrey's Tavern.
